We Are Back From Kenya!

Dear Friends,

“This conference has saved my life.”

“I feel free.”

"Thank you."

“This conference has been life changing.”

“I will take all that I’ve learned to my community.”

“All my life I thought Hagar was the other woman, the villain in the story—now I know she was a traumatized woman.”

We have returned from Kenya and these are just a few of the responses we heard from the women leaders in Nairobi last week.

Thanks to your support, we had the honor of training nearly 100 women leaders in trauma healing. The team on the ground created a trauma-informed space, beautifully prepared to soothe the traumatized brain. We were fortunate to find a chapel on the Africa International University Campus which was transformed for the conference.

From worship and devotions to teaching sessions and healing circles, every moment allowed the women to step into their own journey of healing and restoration.

We also reconnected with the incredible women we trained last year in Mombasa; leaders who are now serving their communities and building new futures with the sewing machines you helped provide. They surprised me with a beautiful gown that fit like a glove as if they had taken my measurements. They were beaming with pride when I wore it to their church service that Sunday.

We have many more stories to share—about the women, the work, the impact, and what ElevateHer is seeing globally when it comes to healing. And we’d love to answer your questions, too!

Join us for a live conversation on zoom:

  • Tuesday, Sept 2 at 8PM EST

  • Sunday, Sept 7 at 6PM EST

We will talk about the women we served, ElevateHer’s strategy for global healing, the joy we experienced and how we took a step forward into our own healing journeys. So join us on either day and be a part of the movement. Click on the link below.

With Gratitude,
