Letter From Our CEO
Dear Friend,
A couple of weeks ago, I sat with our board and advisory board to report back on our most recent trip to Nairobi, Kenya. I shared story after story of women who came up to us, often with deep emotions, thanking us for how practical the sessions were and the unique way we integrate psychology and theology into our curriculum. They told us how the teaching wasn’t just theory—it was equipping them for their lives, their families, and their communities.
After I finished sharing, one of our board members, Luckson, excitedly commented, “It’s working!” And he was right. Friends—IT’S WORKING! Our hard work is working.
Women are receiving the message of hope and healing with open hearts. They are learning that even after trauma, they can live. They can heal. They can support their families and rebuild communities. One woman messaged me recently and said, “I learned that pain wants us to forget everything in life and focus on the pain, and when we allow ourselves to experience joy in the midst of pain, it helps us get into a place of hope.”
That’s impact. That’s transformation. And that’s what your support makes possible.
Each of the 100 leaders we trained will now go on to reach at least 10 more women and men. The ripple effect of this healing work will go further than any of us can imagine. Together, we are creating pathways of healing and hope that multiply across generations.
So I want to encourage you: stay close. Stick with us. Dream bigger with us. The work is expanding, and your partnership is fueling the change.
Because my friend—it’s working.
With gratitude and hope,
Dieula Previlon

ElevateHer - Cap Haitien, Haiti: Women’s Conference September 23-25, 2025
We’re on our way to serve 300 women in Cap Haitien! If you remember Sister Sony Joseph Cherubin, she was trained two years ago in our EquipHer program. Since then, she has stepped boldly into leadership in her church and community. Alongside ten other leaders, she meets with me monthly for ongoing training and support as they serve their communities.
This upcoming trip is her outreach initiative to women in the rural community of Camp Coq.
It’s working: when we train women, it creates a ripple effect.
Your continued support makes this possible. Every time you invest in one woman, the impact extends to countless others.
ElevateHer - United States: HealHer Circle on Grief with Joie Toussaint-Parrish
We gather every month to process grief because healing takes time. These are sacred communal spaces where healing takes place. It’s not just a small group but we are bearing witness to one another’s loss and validate each other’s grief journey.
This month we’re honored to welcome Joie Toussaint-Parrish who will facilitate our online Grief HealHer Circle. Although this cohort is closed, pray for us and stay tuned for upcoming circles and opportunities to join the journey.
Last Wednesdays of every Month | 7 PM CST
ElevateHer - United States: Soul Reparation
Last Thursday, September 11th, we officially kicked off our HealHer Circle: Soul Reparation. With 15 amazing BIWOC present, we created a vulnerable space for women to begin the discussion of racial trauma they have experienced and how to start naming, divesting and begin a healing journey.
It was a blessing to be in a safe, judgement free space to heal. We’re looking forward to our next meeting on Thursday, September 25th to continue dissecting the phrase Soul Reparation and what that means to each and every one of us. Please keep this group in your prayers as they heal because we know their healing will create ripples in their community.

Something For You: Lament as an act of faith
At our conference in Kenya, one of our sisters, Marion Ndeta, led us in a powerful devotional on lament. She reminded us:
“Lament is faith refusing to be silent.”
Here in the U.S., we face daily realities worth lamenting: injustice against women, violence, unemployment, loneliness, and more. Lament is not weakness—it is holy resistance. When there’s pain and suffering, we must bring it honestly before our Creator, trusting that God hears and moves on our behalf. Don’t be silent; let your lament be an expression of your faith.
Psalm 13:1–2 (NIV):
“How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I wrestle with my thoughts
and day after day have sorrow in my heart?”
Reflection Questions
What grief, injustice, or pain am I holding inside that I have not yet brought to God?
How does silence or avoidance keep me from experiencing healing?
What would it look like for me to trust God enough to cry out honestly with my sorrow and anger?
Body Exercise for Lament
Find a quiet space. Sit or stand with both feet grounded.
Bring your hands to your chest. Take three slow breaths, acknowledging the pain or heaviness you carry.
Release through sound. With your exhale, let out a sigh, groan, or even speak aloud your lament. (It could be a word like “Why?” or “How long?”)
End with openness. Stretch your arms out wide as a symbol of surrender, saying, “Lord, I bring this to You.”
