October blog from ElevateHer International — Empowering women to heal, grow, and thrive across the globe!

Letter From Our CEO

Dear Sustainers,

Over the past few months, our team has been working tirelessly behind the scenes—clarifying our strategy, refining how we communicate ElevateHer’s identity, and building systems that will allow us to replicate what’s working and sustain this movement for years to come.

I’ve never witnessed a team more deeply committed to the mission. Every conversation, every brainstorm, every late-night planning session has been fueled by one shared belief: this vision is transforming lives.

And this past month, we saw living proof of that transformation in Haiti.

In 2023, we led a trauma-healing conference in Cap Haitien, Haiti. From that gathering, a new generation of women leaders emerged—among them, Sister Sony, who took what she learned and multiplied it. Just a few weeks ago, she organized and led her own conference that reached 363 women in her community.

This is why our team works so diligently. Because when we invest in one woman, we ignite a ripple effect of healing, leadership, and community transformation.

So I have to ask—have you caught the vision?
Do you see what’s possible when we come together to equip and empower women globally?

If you do, then join us by being one of our dedicated monthly donors. Let’s continue building a world where healed women lead the way to healed communities.

With gratitude and hope,
Dieula M. Previlon
Founder & CEO, ElevateHer International.

ElevateHer - Cap Haitien, Haiti: Haiti Was a Success!

We had an incredible trip to Cap-Haïtien, Haiti!

This trip grew out of a partnership initiative with Hosean International and the inspiring leadership of Sister Sony, one of the participants from our EquipHer Conference. After attending the conference, she reached out to us for support in serving a nearby community outside of Cap-Haïtien.

In the first year, ElevateHer provided financial assistance to help her vision take root. This year, we returned—not just to give, but to witness the impact for ourselves. What we found moved us deeply: Sister Sony had gathered 368 women and 22 volunteers to empower, encourage, and bring hope to their community.

Moments like these remind us why ElevateHer exists. When one woman is equipped, she becomes a catalyst for healing and transformation far beyond herself.

Join us as we continue to empower women to heal, grow, and thrive.
Your prayers and financial partnership make this work possible.
Give today to support our ongoing projects in Haiti.

ElevateHer - United States: HealHer Circle on Grief with Jenny Wang

We gather every month to process grief because healing takes time. These are sacred communal spaces where healing takes place. It’s not just a small group but we are bearing witness to one another’s loss and validate each other’s grief journey.

This month we’re honored to welcome Jenny Wang who will facilitate our online Grief HealHer Circle. We have just two more sessions to go after this one, pray for us and stay tuned for upcoming circles and opportunities to join the journey in 2026.

ElevateHer - United States: HealHer Circle on Grief at West Hills Covenant Church

When Pastor Stephanie Ahn Mathis noticed that many in her congregation were carrying deep losses, she felt compelled to create a gentle space for communal healing. She reached out to ElevateHer, and together we launched a four-week virtual grief group designed to help her community process pain and rediscover hope.

The word about ElevateHer’s trauma-informed programs continues to spread, opening new doors for healing across communities. Please join us in praying for this group as they walk through their journey of healing and restoration.

ElevateHer - United States: Soul Reparation

We are halfway through our Soul Reparation cohort, and it’s safe to say this gathering is meeting a deep need for our Black sisters and sisters of color in this season. Women from the U.S., Haiti, Nigeria, Puerto Rico, Peru, and Mexico have come together to repair their souls from the weight of systems and traumas that have tried to break them.

In our most recent session, after the closing prayer, the room grew quiet—a sacred stillness that often signals that deep processing and healing are taking place.

Please continue to pray for these sisters as they journey together toward healing and restoration through November.

Grant Writing Team Update

For the past few months, we’ve been prayerfully seeking a reliable grant writer to help strengthen ElevateHer’s capacity and sustain our growing global work. Though the search had been challenging, last month at a conference, the Lord answered our prayers in two remarkable ways.

First, He gave us the wisdom to shift our approach—from hiring a single writer to creating a Grant Writing Team. We recognize that this work is both creative and labor-intensive, and collaboration will allow us to share the load and bring diverse strengths to the process.

Second, He led us to a lead team member with experience in grant writing—an incredible blessing and confirmation that we’re on the right path.

If you have skills or interest in grant research, writing, or editing, we invite you to join this new team. Your contribution could help us open new doors for funding and expand ElevateHer’s global impact.

💌 Interested in joining? Email us—we’d love to welcome you aboard!

Join Us in Simple Ways to Make a Big Impact

Sister Sony is only able to reach out to 363 other women because of you. Your support fuels ElevateHer’s mission to help women heal, grow, and thrive. Here’s how you can help—whether you have funds to give or simply a heart to connect:

  • Give Directly – Every gift makes a difference.

  • Make Connections – Introduce us to your community: friends, foundations, businesses, or leaders we can partner with.

  • Host a Fundraising Dinner – Gather friends, share a meal, and share our mission.

  • Create a Campaign – We’ll give you the tools and resources to fundraise on our behalf.

  • Share our work on social media.

Together, we can open more doors for women to heal and lead from their healing.

Prayer Request:

In this season, our prayer is simple: for God to raise up funders, grants, partners and other resources to fuel the work of empowering women. Would you please join us in prayer?

Looking ahead:

Giving Tuesday: Prepare your heart for the giving season; a time when the world pauses to reflect, give, and join in creating the change we long to see. This year, Giving Tuesday falls on December 2nd. We invite you to pray and consider how you might partner with ElevateHer to empower women to heal, grow, and thrive around the world.

Gala 2026: Save the Date: March 7th, 2026 at Kean University. This year we will lay out the vision for how we will continue the work of healing women to heal the world. We are currently in need of sponsors for the gala. If you or someone you know may be interested please visit our sponsorship link HERE

Reflection for you: Living a Worshipful Faith

Psalm 111:1–2

Praise the Lord. I will extol the Lord with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly.
Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them.

This week I will be preaching at Metro Church in Harlem, NY, and I’ll be preaching about living a worshipful faith—a faith that is fueled by worship. When I look at Psalm 111, it tells me that worship is the delight of the great works of the Lord.

Worship is not confined to a song on Sunday morning or a sermon we listen to. Psalm 111 reminds us that true worship is a way of life—a posture of the heart that honors God in all things.

Worship is about bestowing glory and honor for all the things we are able to delight in.
A walk in the park is worship.
Climbing mountains is worship.
Dancing is worship.
Visiting a sick friend is worship.
A friend checking in on you, prompted by the Spirit of God, is worship.

When our hearts are aware of God’s presence in both the sacred and the ordinary, our lives become a continuous act of praise. Every act of love, every expression of gratitude, every step toward justice becomes a way to say, “Great are the works of the Lord.”

Reflection Questions

  1. Where in your daily routine do you notice opportunities to worship God?

  2. How can you make ordinary moments—like resting, eating, or working—acts of gratitude and worship?

  3. What “works of the Lord” around you have you stopped to ponder lately?

Body Practice

Hand-to-Heart Breathing
Place one hand on your heart and the other on your belly.
Take three slow, deep breaths.
As you inhale, whisper: “You are worthy, Lord.”
As you exhale, whisper: “I worship You with my life.”
Let this simple act remind you that worship begins within—one breath, one heartbeat, one act of love at a time.
