Sucely de Leon

Trauma Therapist

Sucely is a second generation Guatemalan American, this experience has taught her to understand the struggles of determining one’s identity. What it has also accomplished is giving her a curiosity of other cultures and a desire to find God’s fingerprints in them. And through this curiosity she has grown to embrace them and love them. Sucely considers herself both a counselor and a counselee who understands the difficulty of learning the process of healing and the joy of the results. She is a graduate of the Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling program from Dallas Theological Seminary in Texas. She has had the privilege of working with people of all ages who have struggled with trauma and has had the joy of seeing them heal and transform. She specializes in issues of sexuality, general life transitions, anxiety, trauma, and grief. She enjoys helping those who have had difficulty with their family system and their cultural background. Sucely loves walking with a person to a point of understanding and the process of healing and growth. Her goal is to help anyone who needs help navigating the waters of life. In her counseling practice, Sucely approaches each person uniquely, getting to know their needs and working in a manner that best serves them specifically. Her approach looks at key relationships throughout a person’s life and how those relationships impact the patterns they use to live today. Some of these patterns include decision-making, the way we treat ourselves, and the way we view others. Sucely’s hope is to provide a safe place where clients can come with their deepest wounds and process them completely.

In her personal life Sucely is a huge Lord of the Rings fan, she loves how Tolkien was able to share the gospel through this story in a way that is engaging and exciting. She enjoys reading books like these for entertainment and sometimes growth. She loves spending time with her friends and family and finding the “underdog” person in her systems to pour into and disciple. Her greatest joy comes from the moment a person she has poured into sees and embraces Jesus as their Lord, Savior, and Friend.
