Ruthly Cadestin
Board Member, Vice-Chair
An advocate, storyteller, creator, and servant for the global community, Ruthly Cadestin is the Executive Director of Investor Advocates for Social Justice. IASJ aims to advance social, economic, and environmental justice. Moreover, IASJ advocates for a world where all creation is respected and protected. Ruthly Cadestin is the Vice Chair of ElevateHer International, an organization that empowers women to heal from trauma, grow in faith, and thrive in purpose. She has a strong interest in international development, post-conflict and reconciliation, and anti-human trafficking efforts. Ruthly Cadestin is dedicated to maintaining peace, promoting sustainable development, and protecting human rights. She assisted in many projects pertaining to international development and studied in Thailand and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Ms. Ruthly Cadestin also worked on several initiatives focused on community and women's empowerment, education reform, economic equality, and human rights.
Ms. Ruthly Cadestin attended King's College, where she received a B.S. in International Business and two minors in History and Economics. Furthermore, she received her M.A. at Seton Hall University's School of Diplomacy and International Relations, where she specialized in Human Rights and International Law and Post-Conflict Reconstruction and Sustainability. Currently, she is a student at Gordon–Conwell Theological Seminary. Ms. Ruthly Cadestin is dedicated to promoting the common good for global citizens through economic, social, political, and artistic avenues.
All in all, Ms. Ruthly Cadestin has played many roles, which include being a Community Organizer for Common Cause New York, an Executive Editor for the Journal of Diplomacy and International Relations, and an English Teacher Volunteer with the Rotaract Chapter of Webster University of Thailand. Previously, she sat on the Board of Directors of IASJ. Lastly, she is the former Treasurer, State and Regional Board Member of Citizen Action of New York, a grassroots organization taking on issues that are at the center of transforming society.
