2024 in Review

As 2024 draws to a close, we reflect on a year filled with growth, impact, and renewed determination to empower women worldwide. Your support has been instrumental in making this possible, and we are excited to share the highlights of all that we’ve accomplished together.

A Voice on a Global Stage
Earlier this year, we had the incredible opportunity to participate in a panel discussion at the United Nations. The conversation centered on making a meaningful impact in addressing Sexual and Gender-Based Violence. It was an honor to contribute our insights and share ElevateHer International’s work with global leaders and changemakers.

A Journey Back to Move Forward
We began the year with a Sankofa trip to Haiti. “Sankofa” teaches us that to go forward, we must look back. This trip allowed six of us to connect deeply with the past and better understand how to support women in their healing journeys. Each participant left with a stronger resolve to empower women to heal and thrive.

Celebrating Women Around the World
In March, we hosted our first-ever ElevateHer Gala, themed Heal Women, Heal the World. The evening brought together 185 attendees who helped us raise crucial funds to support our mission. The gala was not just a celebration but a powerful reminder of the transformative potential of healing women worldwide.

Empowering Leaders Virtually
We launched our first virtual leadership program with 10 Haitian women, equipping them with trauma-informed skills to make a lasting impact in their communities. Monthly sessions became a space for growth, support, and empowerment.

Expanding Our Reach Through Connection
This year, we introduced two new touch points to reach even more women:

  • PrayHer, where women came together to pray for one another and for women around the world.

  • TeacHer, where women gathered to learn trauma-informed practices that could be shared with their communities.

Building Partnerships for Change
We collaborated with organizations such as the Mercy Center of NJ, the Johanne Louis Foundation, and Haitian American United for Change to address critical issues like domestic violence, support traumatized migrants, and assist families in crisis.

Equipping Women Globally
Our year culminated with an EquipHer trip to Kenya, where we partnered with Life Point Church and Christ Assigned Ministries, led by Pastors Ruth and Fortunatus Mwaka. The trip brought 84 women together for a powerful time of learning, healing, and community.

By the Numbers

  • 525 direct connections with women globally (not including the extended impact of trained leaders).

  • 16 volunteers and contractors working tirelessly behind the scenes to spread our message of healing.

Looking Ahead to 2025
We are just getting started. In 2025, we aim to expand our work further, training leaders in the US, Haiti, Uganda, and Kenya. Your continued investment will help us reach even more women and communities with the resources and support they need to thrive.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we are changing lives and building a world where healed women can heal the world. Join us in 2025 to continue to change the lives of women who will change the lives of their families, nation and the world.

With Gratitude,

Dieula Previlon,

CEO/Founder, ElevateHer International
