Carine Toussaint is a daughter of the most high God, a sweetie to her mama, a sister, aunt, cousin to many in her large Haiti-American family, a counselor, friend to many and finally a MOTHER to her princess Neurline.
Having grown up in Haiti, she balances the Caribbean spirit of serenity and peace with the perpetual urgency and energy of a Jersey girl. She finds peace in the calm of the shore and through prayer and meditating on a nature trail. She’s a professional counselor with a gentle approach to helping people overcome their trauma. And she’s a strategic thinker who has helped churches, NGO’s and educational institutions further their mission faster through smarter implementation. And in all things, she radiates God’s spirit of justice and truth.
She speaks multiple languages, including Spanish, and Creole, and has traveled the globe extensively. Carine spent 11 years directing international missions at Stone Hill Church of Princeton, followed by six years working at the Trauma Healing Institute of the American Bible Society as the Global Training Manager, traveling worldwide helping survivors and church leaders establish healing centers.
She has worked with survivors of traumatic events including the tsunami in Thailand, the earthquake in Haiti, and hurricanes in the Gulf Coast, refugees and civil war victims in the Middle East and Africa.
Carine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Fairleigh Dickinson University, a Master of Arts in Counseling and Personnel Services from The College of New Jersey and an Education Specialist post-master’s advanced degree from Rider University. She also completed another post master’s certification at the Global Trauma Recovery Institute from Missio Seminary. Carine now serves as a Upper School counselor for a private school in Princeton.
