Caleb Lucien
Founder and Executive Director of Hosean International Ministries
Caleb Lucien is a dedicated pastor, entrepreneur, and humanitarian from Pignon, Haiti. Married to Debbie for 29 years, they have two married daughters, Charissa and Lydia, and are proud grandparents of three. Over the years, Caleb and Debbie have fostered more than 50 children who have gone on to successful careers in various fields.
Caleb's educational journey began at Collège Pratique du Nord in Cap-Haïtien and continued at École Évangélique de la Bible in Port-au-Prince. He later earned degrees in Religious Studies, Education, and Theology from Washington Bible College and Dallas Theological Seminary, where he was recognized as an Academic All-American.
Despite opportunities to remain in the U.S., Caleb returned to Haiti, founding Hosean International Ministries to empower Haitians through education, life skills training, and economic development. His achievements include:
Establishing Camp de la Grâce, a 30-acre conference center with facilities for sports, lodging, and physical therapy.
Founding Lapila Christian School (K-6) and Collège de la Grâce (K-13), serving over 1,500 students combined.
Leading relief efforts during natural disasters and providing shelter and education for 1,500 evacuees after the 2010 earthquake.
Founding the Layton Memorial Children’s Home, fostering over 50 children now thriving as professionals.
Partnering with Habitat for Humanity to build homes and manage loan programs benefiting 400 families.
As a pastor and educator, Caleb has taught and lectured internationally and served as lead pastor at Église Évangélique Libre du Cap-Haïtien since 2020. He is passionate about empowering pastors and building churches and schools across Haiti.
In business, Caleb has been a Texaco franchise owner, a Western Union agent, and the founder of CHALYDATH Bar Restaurant and Capital Gas Station. His entrepreneurial success earned him recognition as a Regional DIGICEL Entrepreneur of the Year.
Caleb is also a founding member of the Rotary Club of Pignon, where he has served in various leadership roles, including District 7020 Haiti Task Force Chair. He is a Paul Harris Fellow, a graduate and faculty member of the Rotary Leadership Institute, and has attended numerous international conferences.
In his free time, Caleb enjoys writing poetry, reading, and listening to Haitian music. He remains devoted to his faith, family, and the betterment of his community and country.
